Hot chicken with ras el hanout

Want to prepare something simple for today? Then I recommend these easy hot chicken sandwiches! They are a quick weekday snacks because they require no time of preparation.

Ingredients

  • 20 ml olive oil
  •  250 g chicken thighs
  •  3 g salt
  •  4 g ras el hanout
  •  2 g cumin powder
  •  2 g black pepper
  •  0.5 red bell pepper
  •  1 yellow onion
  •  1 garlic clove
  •  25 g soy sauce
  •  10 g hot sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Chop the red bell pepper and onion. Grate the garlic. Cut the chicken thighs into small cubes.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the chicken pieces, salt, ras el hanout, cumin powder and black pepper. 
  3. Mix together. Fry the chicken almost done.
  4.  Add the onion, bell pepper and garlic. 
  5. Fry it along for 5–6 minutes. Add the soy sauce and hot sauce. Fry everything together for a few minutes.
  6. Serve it on a sandwich.

Tips

  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Replace hot sauce with a hot pepper or a little cayenne pepper/chili powder.
  • Serve with fresh greens.
  • You can also marinate the chicken overnight.
